Female Gate Hinges
Female hinges or frame hinges are used for swinging gates. These attach to the gate post or frame and are one of two parts that allow the gate to swing. All female hinges are galvanized steel, which will not rust, and some have black powder-coated for extra protection and visual appeal. Female hinges are offered individually or in pairs. These are available for various post sizes, though all have a pintle hole size of 5/8".
Male Gate Hinges
Male hinges attach to the fence post, and the pintle sits internally to the pintle hole of the female hinge. This is the other part of the swing gate assembly for a steel ornamental fencing system.
